Smart Sweatpants
We’ve gotten some questions about whether or not it’s acceptable to wear sweatpants in public so this post attempts to address that. Though we don’t normally recommend sweats, we don’t think that ALL sweats are bad to wear out. Depending on the style of the sweats, your own personal style, and where you are going - a pair of sweatpants can be a suitable option for casual wear.
If you do feel like wearing your sweatpants out, here’s some tips about style and fit. Firstly, find a slim fit just like you would want for your jeans. Baggy sweats will just look sloppy and should never be worn out. Secondly, choose a style and color that looks like a pair of regular pants - back pockets, side pockets, some styles even have a zipper fly. Also, wear the right top. Try a sweater or button down to dress it up. The whole point is to have the comfort of sweatpants without looking like you’re wearing sweatpants.
Stay tuned for a follow up post with some sweatpants options that we like and would recommend to pull off this look.

That’s So Raven Mint
So mint green has easily become our new favorite color for spring/summer this year. Without even realizing it, we’ve managed to acquire a few new pieces lately that are all shades of this soft green. It’s hard not to look fresh when you throw on something in this cool green hue. Even this simple outfit - just a plain white tee and a pair of navy chinos - looks instantly better with that pop of mint. Worried that this color won’t go with the rest of your wardrobe? Don’t be. Think of it as a spring neutral and then pair it as such with dark denim, black, white, tan, gray - all things that will work well with this neutral accent color and all colors that you probably already own.

The Banded Bottom Polo
Introducing Dustin Draper. Spring is here and while a classic polo is great, why not try something with a little vintage flair to keep things interesting. Think weekend Don Draper in the “country.”
One of the reasons we love this polo is because it looks great untucked. It’s not too long and doesn’t hang way past the thigh. It’s also really flattering on a lot of body types. The band helps create a slimming effect on your waist while allowing the rest of the shirt to billow out a bit around the stomach - perfect for disguising all the bloody mary’s and waffles you’ll be eating at all those spring brunches. (Ahem, wearing this every hungover Sunday from now til September…)

Muted Pastels by Anthony & Dustin
Take a common color combo like red and green and rethink it. When you think of these colors together you may be reminded of the vibrant hues of Christmas, but since it’s spring why not watermelon? Are you buying this? Anyway, soften the colors to a dusty pink and mint green and you have a fresh color combo that’s perfect for spring. Still too bright? Take it down notch to a burnt orange and a faded green for an even more subtle palette. Either way, there’s as much a place for these muted pastels this spring as there are for bright color. Hope these posts inspire you to experiment with colors in your outfits!
