Happy Valentine’s Day!

Vest & Tie
All the well-dressed gents this weekend got us feeling fancy so this is our attempt at trying to look all growned up. The vest is something Anthony picked up a few years ago and until today, hasn’t been worn much. The idea for this look was to look sharp but a bit more casual. We did the vest rather than a suit jacket or blazer to accomplish just that. Oh, and there’s that new tie Anthony got yesterday, making its tumblr debut.
Here’s Dapper Dusty sporting some serious pj’s while sleeping with his eyes open on our roofdeck.
Vest - Zara
Dress shirt - J.Crew
Tie - Gitman Bros
Dress pants - H&M (again…the very high end designer section for fancy poors like ourselves)
Shoes - Aldo
POP UP FLEA
This weekend we checked out the much awaited Pop Up Flea in New York. We went on Friday, opening night, and the place was packed. A free open bar serving whiskey and a huge space with over 30 brands on 3 levels showcasing some of the best wares for us guys. If we could design a mall just for guys, with all the best products, then this would be it. (We’d probably add a bar and food court though).
The whole scene was just too much to take in. Tons of people and seriously the best clothing and shoes. Soo much sensory overload that we had to leave but we ended up going back on Sunday, the closing night of the shop. It was definitely less packed when we got there and we actually got a chance to shop.
Though most prices were out of our budget, Anthony did end up purchasing a wool herringbone tie by Gitman Bros for only $50. A great deal considering it was featured in GQ and every other tie we saw was going for about $110. Dustin settled with a pair of white vintage style shoelaces for our desert boots for $5 (cheapo). Although we were broke as hell, it was still great to see all those quality men’s brand in person and all in one place.
Anyway, first picture is Anthony’s tourist photo op in front of the Pop Up Flea sign. Second pic was snapped Friday night at opening.
