I mean…. Redken Maneuver Wax, Kiehl’s Silk Serum, and a rotation of different L’Oreal products that my sister so generously gives me and Dustin for free =)

Grooming Notes

So we’ve been holding off on posting this until we’ve had a chance to try out the products.  Over Thanksgiving Anthony’s sister dropped off a bunch of goodies for us. Since she works at L’Oreal, we were able to snag the new Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Transformer Age Correcting Moisture-Gel for men before it hit stores (it’s now on available online).

Even though it’s age-correcting, we mainly use it as a moisturizer. Our verdict on the new product: GREAT! Doesn’t make you shiny by the end of the day and it’s super light. We’ll be replacing the Kiehl’s Abyssine cream with this, and the facial fuel is also about $15 cheaper. Pick it up for $30 if any of you dudes are looking for a new non-shine moisturizer.

A Note on Personal Grooming No outfit post today, just a look inside our medicine cabinet. We’ve tried many hair and skincare products over the years and nothing compares to Kiehl’s and Redken. Some notables among the bunch: Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream - I swear this is the best moisturizer. It’s thick but non greasy and doesn’t make your face shiny by the end of the day. I think its supposed to be a night cream/wrinkle cream for women but I swear to you it works perfectly as a daytime moisturizer for men. (side note: there’s also an SPF version of this which is not quite as good) Kiehl’s Facial Fuel - Okay, so this is made just for men and it’s a great facial cleanser. Non-stingy unlike other brands and smells great too. Highly recommend. ANY of the Redken Shampoo’s & Conditioners - This line is made just for men also and the main reason we use it is because it smells soooo good. Like it actually makes you want to take a shower. Oh and also it’s really good for dry hair like mine. Redken Maneuver Wax hair putty - This product is great for styling. It leaves the hair with a dryer look while also soft and pliable. I usually use hairspray too (read: a shit ton of aquanet) so my coif won’t blow away in the wind but if you don’t spray, you can still run your fingers through it and adjust the style throughout the day if it needs touch ups. Also smells damn good. Lastly, a panda toothbrush holder - It’s perfect for traveling. It adheres to most any surface, especially mirrors. So now you can use those glasses they give you in your hotels to sneak drinks down to the hotel bar instead of as a toothbrush holder. (P.S. - Shoutout to my sister who works for L’Oreal because without her we would not be able to afford these products)
